Electrical Technology Instructor
Qualifications Required
The candidate is required to have a minimum of an associate’s degree, five years of collective relevant work experience, and a State of Nebraska Electrical License; or a bachelor’s degree with three years of collective relevant experience, and a State of Nebraska Electrical license.
Knowledge of National, State, and Local Electrical Codes, residential and commercial wiring and theory, residential and commercial electrical tools and equipment, control systems, and knowledge of PLC’s is required. Experience in teaching and assessing student learning is helpful.
General Summary
The instructor will collaborate with the Associate Dean and, as appropriate, the program director in order to assist students in accessing learning and attaining educational goals; facilitate learning by providing varied learning experiences and teaching in instructional modalities as assigned; and professionally represent the college, its role and mission. The instructor will meet the education and work experience standards set forth in the job specifications. The instructor will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
