Industrial Technology Coordinator/Trainer

Qualifications Required
1. Knowledgeable about automated manufacturing and Industrial Processing systems, administrative procedures and communication skills in order to facilitate training for individuals in business and industry. This is normally acquired through the completion of an Associate’s degree in industrial technology, or related area. Must possess appropriate and adequate hands on field experience in the area of Industrial Technology.

2. Requires a comprehensive understanding of procedures involving conducting, coordinating and facilitating training programs for business and industry. This level of knowledge is normally acquired through at least 3 years hands on related work experience.

3. Substantial level of interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with employees and employers at various levels, and demonstrating and explaining technical concepts.

4. Requires a high level of analytical ability. Working with complex equipment such as programmable logic controls, pneumatics, hydraulics and evaluating effectiveness of training programs. Preparing budget requests, monitoring program expense.

5. Requires the ability to transport boxes of presentation materials, equipment and supplies weighing 21 to 40 pounds up to 6 to 20% of work time.

6. Requires the ability to travel so valid driver’s license is required. May involve some overnight stays.

7. Possesses a working knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word in order to develop and format presentations and program manuals.

General Summary
The Industrial Technology Coordinator/Trainer is responsible for developing and administering industrial technology training activities for the College. These responsibilities will include implementing, teaching and marketing the Industrial Technology training programs. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
