Current Openings at Columbus Community Hospital

 

RN – Senior Behavioral Health – FT & PT

36 hrs; 7p-7:30a, 3 nights/wk, every 3rd wkend along with 2 holidays/yr rotating. 

24 hrs; 7p-7:30a, 2 nights/wk, every 3rd wkend along with 2 holidays/yr rotating. Primary duties include but are not limited to daily care of patients in Senior Behavioral Health Unit.  Experience in Behavior Health preferred but willing to train.  Current NE RN license, BLS required.  BSN required within 5 years of hire.

 

*LICENSED INDEPENDENT MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDER – Columbus Psychiatry Clinic – FT

40 hrs/wk; 8a-5p, 5 days/wk.  Provide direct mental health services to patients who are diagnosed with mental/behavioral illnesses in an outpatient clinic setting.  Will work collaboratively with the Psychiatrist to provide evidence based mental health services.  Including but not limited to evaluations, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and documentation.  Initiate appropriate referrals for health care, social service program, and community resources to meet the identified needs of the patient and family.  Current NE license as an Independent Mental Health Provider (LIMHP).  Master’s degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Psychology, Social Work or related field of mental health.  Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.

 

*PHYSICAL THERAPIST – Columbus Wellness Center – FT

40 hrs/wk; 8a-5p, M-F. Provide physical therapy evaluations/develop treatment plans for outpatients at the Wellness Center. Cross-training for some inpatient PT coverage and occasional home health. Opportunity to join a great team with support for program development, specialization, aquatic therapy and wellness programs.  Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. 1-year experience preferred, but not required. Current NE license required.  

 

*CRNA – Full Time, Exempt Position

40 hrs/wk; variable hours, shifts as needed, along with second call coverage every 8th day.  Provide anesthesia services for surgical procedures, labor & delivery and trauma stabilization.  Experience in regional and peripheral nerve blocks preferred.  Certified by the AANA and Current NE license.

 

*RN NURSE EDUCATOR – Education – FT

36 hrs/wk; M-F, variable day hrs. Promote evidence-based patient care and optimal outcomes by supporting clinical staff in critical thinking and skill development.  Develop and provide nursing staff education in-services and skills labs.  Provide guidance and education in simulation lab, collaborates with preceptor trainer, nursing orientation program and assists with life support courses.  Current NE RN, Master’s Degree or working towards preferred.  3 yrs. RN experience required. Patient care and teaching experience preferred.  Instructor experience desired.  Current certification in ACLS/PALS preferred.

 

*RN – Acute Care Unit – FT & PRN

FT 36 hrs/wk; 6p-6a; 3 nights/wk, including wkend/holiday rotation. PRN (variable nights/evenings).  General medical-surgical patient care. Current NE RN license, willing to obtain BSN in 5 yrs, and BLS.  Willing to obtain ACLS and PALS.  Some experience preferred.

 

*RN – Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic – FT

36 hrs/wk; 7:30a-4/5p, M-F. Work collaboratively with Physicians/PA’s to provide direct patient care and assessment of orthopedic injuries/conditions in an outpatient clinic setting.  Perform ordered treatments and assessments along with other nursing duties and/or procedures.  Educating patient and family regarding treatments and care before and after procedures. Current NE RN license and CPR required.  Experience in an outpatient clinic setting and specific orthopedic or specialty nursing experience preferred.

 

*CERTIFIED SURGICAL SCRUB TECHNICIAN – OR – FT     

36 hrs/wk; 10a-6:30p, 5/4 days/wk.  Advanced knowledge of sterile technique, ability to set up and primary scrub of all surgical procedures for all services.  Endoscopy and sterile processing included.    The shift is currently 10a-6:30p, however this could change over time to meet the needs of the department.  Call is required weekly, weekend and holidays.  Graduate of accredited scrub tech program, national certification completed, and BLS required.

 

*REGISTERED/CERTIFIED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST – FT

36 hrs/wk; 6:30p-7a, 3 nights/wk, along w/every 3rd wkend.  Seeking a respiratory therapist to work in a family environment, where teamwork and patient care are the priorities.  Duties include aerosols, EKG, NPPV, CPAP, PFT’s, ventilators, Code Blue, Rapid Response Teams, Holter Monitors, etc.  Quality monitoring, productivity.  Interest in cross training in Sleep Lab a plus.  RRT or CRT credentials current with NBRC. CRT Therapist required obtaining RRT within 5 years.  ACLS, PALS, NRP, BLS required, may complete after hire.

 

*RN – Emergency Department – FT

36 hrs/wk; 6:30p-7a, 3 days/wk, wkend/holiday rotation. Provide direct patient care in the Emergency department.  Activity engaged in improvement of the patient experience and quality patient care in the ER.  Current NE RN license, willing to obtain BSN in 5 yrs., PALS.  Willing to complete TNCC and ACLS in 1st yr. and ENPC in 2nd yr.

 

*MEDICAL TECHNICIAN/TECHNOLOGIST (MLT/MLS//MT) – FT  

36 hrs/wk; 9pm-6:30am w/some 2p-11:30p; 4 days working mostly overnights and a few evenings, including every 3rd wknd on nights plus 2 holidays a year on nights. Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties.  Includes high to moderately complex lab testing (Generalist), problem solving, quality control in all areas of the lab including Blood Bank and microbiology.  Phlebotomy required.  AS or BS degree in Medical Laboratory Science.  Must be ASCP certified or equivalent. 

 

*NURSE MANAGER – Senior Behavioral Health – FT

40 hrs/wk; variable hours, M-F.  Plans, implements and evaluates delivery of nursing care to patients.  In conjunction with the Program Director, provides supervision and evaluation of all nursing and patient care personnel and participation in the community relations program.  The Nurse Manager reports administratively to the program director and clinically to the Vice President of Patient Care Services/CNO.  Current NE RN license, BSN, BLS & ACLS.  Crisis prevention certification.

 

*ULTRASONOGRAPHER – FT

40 hrs/wk; 4/5 days M-F, call required.  Performs general and vascular ultrasound.  Understanding differences in the care required for a pediatric, adolescent or geriatric patient. ARDMS abdominal registered.  Must be willing to be vascular registered with in one year. BLS will be required.  New graduates welcomed.

 

*PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – Wiggles & Giggles – FT

36 hrs/wk: Complete evaluate and provide outpatient treatment in pediatric clinic.  Team oriented atmosphere including speech and physical therapists.  Graduate of accredited OT program. Current NE license.  Pediatric experience beneficial.  New graduates are welcome to apply.

 

*LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST – Columbus Plastic Surgery Clinic – FT

40 hrs/wk; variable hours & days adjusted to meet client needs, some evenings & weekends required.  Perform a variety of customized massage therapy & bodywork treatment services for therapeutic & remedial purposes. Skills & experience in business development & operations preferred. Independently work and make decisions & judgments within the scope of practice & licensing guidelines per the state of Nebraska.  Current NE LMT required.  National licensure or certification preferred.  Minimum of three years of prior massage therapy experience required.

 

*LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST – Columbus Psychiatry Clinic – FT

40 hrs/wk; 8a-5p, 5 days/wk.  Provide direct mental health services to pediatric and adolescent patients who are diagnosed with mental and behavioral illnesses in an outpatient clinic setting.  Will work collaboratively with the Psychiatrist and therapists to provide evidence based mental health services.  Including but not limited to assessment and diagnosis of acute and/or chronic psychiatric problems illness, and crises: administration, assessment, and interpretation of various psychological tests: formulate treatment planning and provide comprehensive family psychiatric-mental health education.  Provide consultation to other mental health professionals and outside facilities and /or agencies and Initiate appropriate referrals for health care, social service program, and community resources to meet the identified needs of the patient and family.  Current NE LP license.  Doctoral degree in Psychology and completion of Pre-doctoral clinical internship from and APA Accredited School Psychology Program.  At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
