Migrant Community Liaison
General Migrant Community Liaison is needed for Grand Island Public Schools for 8 hours per day (12-month position) at the Kneale Administration Building. Requires flexible scheduling to work evenings or weekends as necessary. The Migrant Community Liaison provides support services and educational experiences for migrant-qualified children and families addressing their special educational needs to succeed academically. The liaison will be responsible for the service delivery strategies outlined by the GIPS Migrant Education Program in the areas of school readiness, services to Out-of-School Youth (OSY), and parent/family engagement. High School Diploma, with preference given to individuals with bachelor’s degree in Education or Social Work. Fluent Bilingualism: English and (Spanish,Arabic or Nuer)District paid health and dental insurance.
The wage is $17.28 per hour after training period.
