A Family Liaison is needed for Grand Island Public Schools for 8 hours per day/12 months position to provide vital support services and interpretation in Arabic and/or Somali for students and families. This position serves as a liaison between students, parents, schools, and community agencies to address educational and social-emotional needs of immigrant and refugee students and families. Must have strong communication skills in English, Arabic and/or Somali and be able to accurately translate verbal and written communications for the district and schools as well as for staff, students and parents. Computer skills are required. Must be willing to participate in home visits. The position requires flexible scheduling to work outside of school hours, when necessary. District paid health and dental insurance. New wage is $13.04 per hour after the training period. Grand Island Public Schools Kneale Administration Building 123 South Webb Road Grand Island, NE.
