Direct Support Professional

NorthStar Services in Norfolk is looking for creative, team-oriented individuals to fill Direct Support Professional positions. Most shifts available are 6:30 a.m./7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but every other weekend s mandatory. Responsibilities include assisting individuals with community involvement as well as personal care assistance in their homes. Starting wage is $15/hour. Requirements for employment include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or a GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift at least 45 pounds. An abuse and neglect central registry check as well as a criminal history background check are completed for all new employees and annually thereafter.
