Director of Nursing/Nurse Practitioner - Acute Med Rehab

This Director of Nursing/Nurse Practitioner works under the direction of the Associate Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for daily departmental operations, oversight of nursing practice, regulatory compliance and preparation, intake coordination for all patients seeking inpatient medical rehabilitation and ongoing marketing and growth of the unit. In collaboration with the Medical Director for the Acute Medical Rehab unit, will provide basic primary advanced practice nursing care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters of Science in Nursing
- Licensed as a registered professional nurse in Missouri
- Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program
- Certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required
- 3+ years management experience in hospital or ambulatory care environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and formulate and implement based on analysis
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to effectively influence, develop and manage all levels of staff and supervisory personnel
- Ability to develop teamwork among staff, as well as set performance and motivational standards for subordinates
- Ability to act with sound judgment to ensure the integrity of operations and provide exemplary leadership
- Knowledge of human relations and group dynamics
- Skilled in facilitating problem resolution
- Current BCLS
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of inpatient acute medical rehabilitation
