Job Summary

Oversee all aspects of the housing administration process for the residence halls.  Oversee all aspects of the summer conference services program for the residence halls.

 

Essential Functions:

20% - Oversee all aspects of the housing administration process including but not limited to:  housing contract/application, room selection process, freshman exemption and contract release process, wait list process, room change process, summer school housing, early arrival and late stay processes, residence hall fee assessment and other billing, key management, and card access management.

 

20% - While supporting all university enrollment management processes, lead all efforts to recruit and retain university students in university residence halls.  Review and update all marketing materials for the residence halls.  Ensure the Department of Residence Life and Housing website is up to date.

 

20% - Develop and implement strategies for optimizing effectiveness and efficiency while providing excellent individualized support and customer service through our web based applications, electronic communication, and in-person interactions at the main Residence Life and Housing office.  Execute an on-going evaluation of housing business processes and oversee updates to software (housing platform), communication channels, and staff as processes change.

 

20% - Oversee all aspects of the summer conference-housing program including but not limited to:  marketing for prospective clients, preparing contracts for clients, recruiting, hiring and training of summer student staff, and day to day operations of the summer conference program from May through August.  

 

10% - Serve as the department’s primary functional user and trainer of all other users for the department’s housing software.  Provide documentation and training materials for other department staff regarding the software.

 

10% - Represent the Department of Residence Life and Housing at University sponsored events and activities and serve as a liaison with various university offices.

 

Additional Position Information:

Education:  Requires a Master’s Degree

 

Experience:  Requires a minimum of 2 years full-time progressively responsible experience in housing operations or related Student Affairs functional area; 4 years of full-time experience is preferred.

 

Leadership:  Direct supervision and evaluation of work as a first-line supervisor over non-exempt staff including hiring terminating, disciplining or functional guidance and/or project leadership over exempt staff engaged in activities of a recurring basis.
