Required License/Registration/Certification
American Heart Association ( AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid at time of hire is required.
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
Shift
Must be able to work three, 12-hour, shifts; will also be required to work some weekend and holidays
Job Summary
The neurodiagnostic assistant performs duties that assist the Neurogiagnostic Technologist and department which includes but are not limited to:
Maintaining and Stocking Supplies and equipment and preparation of patient rooms for neurodiagnostic procedures
Monitors continuous EEG patients under the supervision of a Neurodiagnostic Technician
Effective communication with patients, families and other staff
Removal and Cleaning of equipment after procedures
Additional duties as assigned.

Previous experience with patients in a practice environment preferred.
