Job Description

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Missouri is seeking exceptional candidates for a general anesthesiologist. This is an opportunity to join a group of energetic, dynamic, and culturally diverse faculty and staff at a premier academic medical center with strong growth in surgical volumes and expansion of surgical facilities. Candidates will be considered for a non-tenure track faculty appointment. Rank will be dependent on academic background and clinical experience.

Prior background and experience in academic medicine not required. Anesthesiologists will work closely with CRNAs, resident physicians, and medical students providing medical direction along with classroom and clinical instruction. Opportunities exist for the development a work/call rotation which will present an ideal work/life balance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: MD/DO, ABA Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Missouri license will be required to be credentialed with MU Health Care.

Candidates will be evaluated on: experience in general and regional anesthesia for adult patients or anesthesia in outpatient surgery centers.
