Job Description

A postdoctoral position is immediately available for a candidate to investigate how interactions between B and T cells affect the outcome ofBrucellainfection in the laboratory of Dr. Jerod Skyberg, Dept. of Veterinary Pathobiology at the University of Missouri (vpbio.missouri.edu).

The successful candidate will employ various mouse models (knockout, transgenic, etc.) in conjunction with the molecular analysis of B and T cells to address the goals of this NIH-funded project. We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow who has a strong background in cellular and molecular immunology and holds a Ph.D. in a field related to immunology or microbiology. Experience with murine models, flow cytometry, and molecular biology is desired. The candidate should be highly motivated with a keen interest to develop and pursue innovative approaches to address this exciting research topic. Full equiped laboratories (BSL2 and BSL3), and excellent on-campus core facilities (flow cytometry, electron/confocal microscopy, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) are available to conduct these studies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in immunology or microbiology, by the time of appointment.
  • The candidate will have demonstrated experience in murine models, flow cytometry, and molecular biology.
