The University of Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center are offering an exciting opportunity for the Director of the UPMC Stroke Institute. The Stroke Institute is a division of the department of neurology and coordinates all stroke activities at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC. Candidates must be board-certified vascular neurologists, qualified for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania, and meet the requirements necessary for a faculty position at the University of Pittsburgh. Faculty rank will depend on experience and academic credentials.

The UPMC Stroke Institute offers an active inpatient clinical stroke service grounded within a multidisciplinary environment that includes vascular neurology, neurosurgery, neurological critical care, neuroradiology, and neurorehabilitation. We also have a very busy well-established neuro-interventional therapy program, stroke clinical trial programs, an active telestroke, and teleneurology program, and both vascular neurology and endovascular neurology fellowship programs. Candidates should have a medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, Board Certified or board eligible in Neurology and Behavioral fellowship training or foreign equivalent and also have clinical interest and expertise in Vascular medicine.
