Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.


Essential Functions

Will provide significant support to the national Diabetic Foot Consortium studies at the Pitt McGowan Wound Research Consortium. Would need to develop and implement methods to increase enrollment of subjects with diabetic foot ulcers from underrepresented and under-served minority populations. Significant experience in creating and nurturing linkages with communities and organizations within these communities that include persons from marginalized cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Demonstrated experience in successfully recruiting patients from healthcare and community organizations to participate with research studies. Strong understanding of the principles associated with Disparity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and how these related to patients from marginalized communities' ability and desire to access to care for chronic diseases like diabetes. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow completely and accurately all study protocols. Significant skills as a collaborative and effective team member.

Mostly sedentary. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
