Electronics Technician III

MR08 – Starting rate depending on candidates’ qualifications and experience

Duties/Responsibilities:

This employee will apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery. They will maintain and repair the electronic components and equipment used in any equipment or device that involves electricity. They may work alongside electricians or electrical engineers and may work on site to keep machinery and specialty equipment running correctly. This employee will also work with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts as they are needed. This individual will direct or coordinate activities concerned with installation, maintenance, operation, or systems. They must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, and be able to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information using computer systems including hardware and software. This individual will assist the Senior Technical Specialist with their duties and will be responsible for keeping logs of steam production, water, and fuel usage, etc.


Qualifications :

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

2-3 years of job-related experience. Experience may substitute for education on a year to year basis.

Must have a complete knowledge of electricity and electronics.

Must have the skills to use applicable test equipment.

Must have the ability to find and fix problems without direct supervision.

Valid TN Driver’s License
