THIS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Program Administrator for the High-Risk Program assists the High-Risk Program Director, the MFM Fellowship Director, the OB/GYN Residency Director, and the Chair of OB/GYN in educating, administrating, and developing the MFM Fellows and Residents programs with their research projects. This position analyzes data to determine the proper mapping, organization, and usage of the data for manuscripts and publications. This position reviews abstracts and publications for entry into a journal, presenting at a conference, or publication.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Identifies faculty, fellows, and residents with research issues to develop a research plan. This includes developing a protocol, developing a possible IRB submission, developing data collection tools, and organizing the data for possible publications and/or abstract submission.
  2. Educates the faculty, fellows, and residents with the tools needed to organize their research ideas or proposals.
  3. Assists with patient recruitment and assists with the training of other faculty, fellows, residents, students, nurses, and others to help recruit study participants to obtain IRB consent for all studies through the OB/GYN Department.
  4. Assists the faculty, fellows, and residents with developing and oversight of their research from start to finish of the project.
  5. Monitors the quality of data collected, documentation, and management as it pertains to the study protocols and reports statistical analysis of the data collected.
  6. Coordinates the collection of all documents needed for the IRB submissions, helps monitor IRB deadlines and submissions for projects, and in collaboration with the Department Chair and/or OB/GYN faculty, MFM Fellows and Resident, ensures new protocols have required IRB approval.
  7. Edits manuscripts, abstracts, grants, contracts, or reports submitted as a result of the research project.
  8. Schedules conference calls and site visits, completes all certifications procedures, complies with IRB reviews and procedures, and provides quality assurance all IRB recruitments meet the criteria for enrollment through a performed IRB audit.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with Epidemiology or a related field of study. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of work experience with research projects with a minimum two (2) years of work experience processing and submitting IRB’s; OR Master’s Degree and three (3) years of work experience with research projects with a minimum two (2) years of work experience processing and submitting IRB’s; OR an equivalent combination of education and related work experience as outlined above to equal thirteen (13) years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of IRB submissions.
  • Knowledge of REDCap Databases and data collection.
  • Ability to perform patient recruitment and complete consenting forms.
  • Excellent grammar and written communication.
  • Knowledge working with parents and children in a research setting.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work evenings.
