The Division of Molecular Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with an anticipated start date of Summer or Fall 2024. The division is a highly interdisciplinary and interactive group engaged in cutting edge research.

We seek individuals with demonstrated excellence or great potential for establishing a successful collaborative, interdisciplinary and extramurally funded research program within pharmaceutics and drug delivery, and one that complements and synergizes with the existing research strengths of the division. Successful candidates, whose research interest may include applications in pediatrics, will be able to collaborate with other units across campus including Dell Pediatric Research Institute, Cockrell School of Engineering, including Biomedical Engineering, and Dell Medical School. Applicants should preferably hold a professional degree in pharmacy and a Ph.D. in the pharmaceutical sciences or related field. Those with a Ph.D. in engineering, biomedical sciences, or related fields with a foundation in pharmacokinetics are also encouraged to apply. At least one to two years of postdoctoral research and/or industrial experience is generally required for junior applicants.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will teach pharmacokinetics at the professional Pharm.D. and graduate level. The candidate's teaching should involve student-focused methods of active learning geared toward both doctor of pharmacy students and graduate students in the basic and pharmaceutical sciences with the opportunity to create elective courses. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines, including Pharmacotherapy faculty, to develop integrated curricular content that utilizes innovative strategies and active learning methods. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to engage in productive interdisciplinary research and a commitment to actively participate in college and university wide service.
