Brief Summary of Job Description
The Classroom Technologist supports and maintains video based blended classrooms, academic learning spaces, video conference rooms, and live recording/production studios. Performs maintenance, system tests and troubleshooting components to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions. Assists in the development and implementation methods for maintaining and updating learning spaces. Assists in recommendations and installations of audio-visual hardware and software that enhance operations and educational outcomes of technology-enhanced learning spaces. Configures and tests audio-visual spaces prior to events. Assists faculty, presenters, and staff to overcome operational/technical difficulties prior to event starts. Provides input on presentation techniques to further teaching and learning within the learning spaces. Trains faculty, staff, and students on the expected use of the learning space and tools. Creates appropriate documentation for proper utilization of rooms equipment and functionalities.
Job Duties
- Supports and maintains video based blended classrooms, learning spaces, video conference rooms, and live production studios where student instruction takes place.
- Performs maintenance, system tests and troubleshoots system components to quickly identify problems and determine appropriate solutions. Assists in the development and implementation methods for maintaining and updating learning spaces.
- Assists in research, recommendations and installations of audio-visual hardware and software that enhance operations and educational outcomes of technology-enhanced learning spaces.
- Configures and tests audio-visual spaces prior to events. Helps faculty, presenters, and staff to overcome operational/technical difficulties prior to event starts.

Required Qualifications
Two (2) years related technology support experience. Working knowledge of audio and video technology. Ability to train faculty, staff, and students on the expected use of the learning space and tools using excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge of audio-visual hardware and software that enhance operations and educational outcomes of technology-enhanced learning spaces. Ability to perform maintenance, system tests and troubleshoots system components to quickly identify problems and determine appropriate solutions. Professional experience designing and integrating audio/visual equipment.
Schedule M-F, 8 am-5 pm, 40 hours
